Who is Pam McInnes?

   Now, that is a really good question.

   All I know is she's a wife, mother, household manager, animal behaviourist,
   counsellor, student, and a really bad cook.

   Long before Pam had decided to become a used book merchant she worked
   at fast food restaurants, dry cleaners, factories and offices; and she earned
   her secretarial, offset printing, creative writing, and Microsoft computer
   networking certificates.

   In the year 2000, she was laid off from her administrator job and her husband saw
   she was getting frustrated looking for another. So he said, "Pam, you really
   like to write, so why don't you do that?"

So, she did. 

For five years she worked as a freelancer writing business copy: Web sites, promotional material, manuals, speeches, radio blurbs, and newsletters. But then she got tired of writing the same fluff over and over again.

So her husband said, "Why not put your energies into fiction. That's where your real passion is."

So she did.

And as she wrote a novel or three, and won a short story contest, she started selling used books.

First she started with their collection of around 300 or so, which quickly grew to over 7,000 - fiction and non-fiction in all genres as well as youth and children's books that she now sells on this site, with partial inventory at:

And then her husband said, "You're doing okay. I think you're on the right track."

And she is....

Now, because of her loving husband's support she is: a used book merchant, writer, wife, mother, household manager, animal behaviourist, counsellor, and student. But, still a really bad cook.

Fortunately though, her husband's fantastic in the kitchen!!
